FAQ: Frequently asked Questions
Technical Requirements
What are the system requirements?
Cinector STAGE uses real-time 3D technology. Therefore, we recommend the use of a newer generation computer with a powerful graphics card.
Operating system: Windows 10 (64 Bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7 (4 cores, 3.5GHz), AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher
Working memory: 16 GB RAM or better
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, Nvidia Quadro 4000 or better
Hard drive: The software requires 4GB of hard drive space.
Online: Internet access for activation and licence check as well as for automatic updating.
Can the software be used offline?
After a successful online registration in the start programme, the software can be used offline or without a new licence check for 30 days. If, due to the structure of your company network, it is not possible to connect to our server, you can alternatively download a file via the browser which allows the software to be used offline for the next 30 days. In this case, the software must be updated manually.
Do I need additional technology to use the software as a virtual studio?
For the real-time keying function of Cinector STAGE in front of a green background (“greenscreen keying”), you need a laptop or PC with a powerful graphics card. You also need a USB camera or another camera connected via an appropriate adapter, an uniformly monochrome background (e.g. a green screen), and a microphone or headset. We recommend additional lighting via 2-3 studio lights.
Depending on your needs, we will put together all or part of the technical equipment and advise you on the selection.
What do I need for a live broadcast?
If you want to use Cinector STAGE for a live presentation, you need a meeting software or a streaming client (usually communication software such as MS Teams, Zoom, Skype or similar, or dedicated software for web seminars) that can broadcast your screen. For live broadcasting, simply switch Cinector STAGE to playback or full screen mode and use the streaming software to share the screen.
Please note that Cinector STAGE itself does not stream.
Input and Output Formats
Which file formats can be imported and processed?
You can import images, videos, presentations, fonts, audio files and 3D models. Cinector STAGE supports the following formats:
Images:
JPG/JPEG
PNG
BMP
TGA
Videos:
MP4

To use the PowerPoint import, a version of Microsoft PowerPoint must be installed on your PC: PowerPoint 2010, PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 365. Please note that this must be a regular installation. An installation via the Microsoft Store anchored in the operating system is not sufficient.
Will my data be stored in a cloud?
No. Your data will remain on your computer.
Cinector STAGE is a download software for Windows PCs. The programme and your data are stored locally on your PC. This ensures the security of your data and you can use sensitive material in your projects without hesitation.
What is the output format of Cinector STAGE? Can all employees view the content?
Cinector STAGE creates videos in MP4 format. This means that your videos can be played by all employees on all end devices such as PCs, tablets and smartphones and can be uploaded without any problems to video platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo and to your video or learning management system. Accordingly, there is no restriction on how many employees can view your videos.
You can also export your project as a series of images in JPG or PNG format. This creates individual images of the most important parts of the project – optionally in 4K UHD or 8K.
Alternatively, you can also have these image series automatically combined into a PDF file.
Licence Details
How many videos can I create with Cinector STAGE?
The licence entitles you to record and stream as many videos as you like within the booked term.
Does every speaker in front of the camera need a licence?
No. We equip one greenscreen studio with one software licence each. Several user accounts (personal logins) can be purchased per studio, so that projects can also be prepared by your staff outside the studio. This means that any number of people can be in front of the camera per studio licence.
How do I cancel Cinector STAGE?
Cinector STAGE is a licence software which is automatically extended by the booked licence period if the licence is not cancelled with a notice period of one month to the end of the licence period.
The cancellation must be made in writing.
What happens to my videos if I no longer have a licence?
Even after your licence has been cancelled, videos that have already been created can continue to be used and played back without restriction.
